As others have mentioned, I first met Drew Magliozzi at a coffee and learned why he is an excellent candidate for our School Committee.

Drew’s commitment to the importance of education is apparent in much of his life’s work. He founded a tutoring company that provides support to students, many of whom are underserved, to help close the achievement gap. Additionally, Drew served on the board of Cambridge School Volunteers. This organization believes in harnessing the power of community to ensure every student in the Cambridge Schools is seen, supported, and successful — something that Concord strives for. Through this work, Drew has developed an understanding of and expertise in AI and how to use it appropriately. With AI now in the forefront of many academic discussions, his experience and insights are invaluable.

Founding and running a company require an entrepreneurial spirit, discipline, creativity, and dedication. When speaking with Drew, it is evident he possesses these skills. These are important assets for serving on a committee that oversees our schools and provides our students with a well-rounded role model. As a committee member, he can address the business of budgeting, assess and set policy, and apply data to measure student success.

As an attendee at the coffee, I witnessed a very attentive and active listener. Drew heard and engaged with every speaker (or attendee) in the room. Drew will bring these qualities and many more to the table.

Please attend a coffee to meet him, visit his website drewforconcord.com, and join me in supporting him on March 31.
