We’re writing to give Drew Magliozzi our strongest endorsement for the Concord School Committee. We’ve lived next door to Drew for several years, and over that time he’s become a good friend.

Imagine someone who cares deeply about our community and our children, who brings real business discipline to his thinking — and who also has a great sense of humor and can make you laugh along the way. Wouldn’t you want that person on your school board? Governing isn’t easy work. Drew will do it thoughtfully, inclusively, and in a way that helps us all enjoy the ride.

Drew has the qualities that make for a strong leader. He is an amazing parent. He is kind-hearted and generous with his time and energy. He listens deeply and respects diverse viewpoints — and when he listens, he makes you feel like you’re the most important person in the world. Above all, he has rock-solid integrity. If he tells you he’ll do something, he follows through.

Experience matters, too. Drew understands what it takes for students to progress, the obstacles teachers and administrators need to overcome, and the challenges of working with many stakeholders simultaneously. He has led an educational technology company that has helped many thousands of students and administrators across the country, giving him a deep understanding of how education and organizations actually work. He will be a superb member of the School Committee.

We hope you’ll vote for Drew. We’d be fortunate to have him leading the way.
